So, I’m getting word that this book print material was *actually* made from a photo of Housing Works Bookstore shelves! How crazy is that??
Love her, love her, love her.
Usually I’m right on top of NYFW, but since I’ve been crazy busy this week at work and I don’t have internet at home at the moment (long story), I’ve been a little lax. However, I did have a little time this morning to review most of the shows so far and there’s a lot of beautiful things to be found: bright colors are always welcome for the doldrums of winter, and thank you Michael Kors for continuing to use one of the most beautiful models to ever grace the runway, Carmen Kass.
A couple negative things (sorry but it has to be said) - the worst styling so far has to be given to BCBG where some gorgeous pieces and lines were hindered by white turtlenecks. Sorry Max, huge mistake. Under some things, sure. Under everything, hell no. Also, if you want to make all your models look like aliens, Francisco Costa (for Calvin Klein), you’ve succeeded.
Looking forward to seeing a lot of the heavy hitters yet to come!

I was about to say that I would kill for this wardrobe, but I think I could honestly piece together half of these with things I already own. Two thumbs up for summer wardrobe inspiration.
Timex® military watch$150.00 item 10884
“We joined forces with Timex, one of our favorite all-American brands, to design this vintage-inspired watch—an iconic military style from the 1940s, back from the archives (and only available here). It’s a fusion of traditional elements and modern materials: the face is strategically distressed to appear worn with time and features a contrasting bright red second hand. Nylon strap. 50M water-resistant. Diameter of stainless steel watch case: 36mm. Five-year battery life. Import. Unisex. Available in select stores. Timex is a registered trademark of Timex Group USA, Inc.”
I have been slobbering over this watch for the past few seasons they’ve had it. I think it’s time for me to splurge - I just can’t take it anymore!
