Those ads are Stupid. This is Smart.
So you may have seen these ads for Diesel:
Now, don’t get me wrong, I can see why it might appeal to some people, but when I have to walk past these damn ads everyday - twice a day - at the West 4th station, I really wish I had a can of paint handy.
Today, I was on my way home and every ad had been papered like this one:
I know this isn’t the greatest picture (cell phone quicky you guys), but you see that square on the right?
Yes, that’s a photo of a $330.00 price tag. While I have no problem with pricey denim, $330.00 for a pair is flagrantly stupid. Thank you, thank you, thank you to this artiste. I don’t want to give credit where credit isn’t due, but could this have been Poster Boy, the person responsible for the infamous Reaper alteration featuring Bush, Cheney, and Condie? It’s probably just a copycat since this seems like too easy a job for him.
Still, I giggled to myself with delight when I passed by.
